With rapid industrialisation and electrification, the demand for Cable Terminals is increasing by leaps and bounds. In 1983, Shri Suman Jain Proprietor of S. J. Metal Works realised the potential market for this products. Although the company was founded in 1979, as a part of “JAINSON” Group of Industries, it’s activities were restricted to job work on miniscule scale. It was only in 1983, when Shri Suman Jain completed his studies that he plunged deep into the business. The inspiration for manufacturing Cable Lugs was provided by BHEL and Crompton Greaves who were among the first patrons. Quality conscious OEM’s like L & T and Voltas were not far behind in lending their supports. The brand name “JAINSON” was adopted.

Most of the users of Cable Lugs were, and still are, brand – conscious. Hence, it was really a very uphill task to get the customers to accept “JAINSON” brand Cable Terminal Ends. Though, we had a quality product to offer, it was difficult to establish it as an alternative to brand conscious dealers. It was sheer perseverance and business accumen of Shri Suman Jain, who was assisted by a small band of loyal and dedicated staff that helped in gradually winning the confidence of the users and dealers. People started realising that they had an alternate source of quality product, with better service thrown in as a bonus.

Cable Terminal Ends come in a very wide range. There being more than 2100 items. Each items requires a set of individual dies and jigs. Although, this item seems to be an insignificant component in any equipment or transmission system, a loose termination, or an inferior quality of Terminal End can result in extensive damage to the equipments or disruption of the power supply. Hence quality of the lugs and the proper crimping there of has to be ensured to avoid any mishaps.

In year 2003, company name was changed from S. J. Metal Works to S. J. Metal Industries. “JAINSON” Cable Terminal Ends conforms to Indian and International Standards of quality. S. J. Metal Industries is equipped with a full – fledged Quality Control Laboratory manned by qualified engineers, and only that material, which passes the rigid norms, is allowed to find its way into the market.

We are on approval list of NTPC, ONGC, Railways, Electricity Board, Defense & various consultants. Today, “JAINSON” Group has network of 300 Dealers throughout India & also have a wide customers base of OEM’s which includes prestigious clients like ABB, Siemens, L & T, BCH, BHEL, ICF, ECIL, RCF, Crompton Greaves, Voltas, Vijai Electricals Ltd., Control & Switchgear to name a few.
