Residual Current Circuit Breaker(RCCB) also called an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker(ELCB) is a device designed to cause the opening of contacts to disconnect the load from the supply mains, when the residual current (1 > n) is flowing in the circuit.
The Leakage is the faulty current in the electrical system that flows wrong path towards the earth. Faulty wires poorly insulated equipments & incorrect use of an electric device are the primary leakage current.
